A GAS SPRING is a hydropneumatic adjustable element.
In the gas spring, there is a piston (1) attached to a rod (2) and surrounding a pipe (3) with an external diameter of 18 or 22 mm. The rod is sealed by a seal or guide element (4). The gas spring is filled with gas (Ar), which determines the OUTPUT FORCE of the gas spring.

The gas spring is filled with high-pressure gas. For this reason, it may never be opened, exposed to high temperatures, mechanically damaged or exposed to forces beyond normal use.

Mechanical damage, corrosion, colours or impurities can damage the sealing part of the gas spring. The cylinder and the rod may not be damaged or deformed. For the areas of use where such damage could occur, a gas spring with a moveable protecting tube can be made.

The gas spring operates at a temperature between -18° in +60°C. The temperature change affects the output force up to approximately 5% for every 15°C of temperature change. The oil viscosity will change as well. The nominal force of the gas spring is defined at the temperature of 25°C.
